Change Is Always A Part of Business
There have been some big changes recently for my business. I’m not quite sure what is ahead, but the gears are turning - again. Having been in business for quite a while, I’ve learned it is NEVER stagnant - it really is the nature of business and especially one that focuses on creativity. Sometimes that change is planned and most often it is not, but it’s always right in front of you or right behind you!
I’m no longer in the space I occupied in Sauk City for the past year. I knew things were changing, but it became too unpredictable and difficult to lay plans and schedules out for teaching and event planning. The changes to the space were not going to work out for me and for what was best for me to conduct business that is fair to my patrons, especially those who come to take a class.
I’m taking a short break to define and find a suitable space, but in the meantime, am working with other venues to hold indigo, dye and stitching classes. You’ll see announcements here on this page and, if you’ve signed up for newsletters, the announcements will be there as well. If you follow my Facebook Page, you can see them there as well once agreements have been confirmed. Facebook has not been as reliable as it was in the past to show up in your feed which is why I encourage you to sign up for the newsletter.
Moving forward is always exciting to me, despite some delays, unknowns and changes in how everything will work out. When I look back - way back - to where I took that first leap of faith, I realize - I’ve been at this for quite a while and there is a path I intend to continue to follow.
Oh - and finally putting on an art show of my own in early May at the Wyoming Valley Cultural Center was fun, exciting and so incredibly positive for the community and the artisans involved….I’m doing it again! A very special thanks to all who participated and brought that amazing quality of COMMUNITY in which I believe holds us all together.
Come along with me!
